Help and Guidance
Installing TRESSO.
TRESSO is a Windows desktop app. Installing it takes about a minute — download the installer, run it, and let it create its tray icon. Here is each step, including how to get past the Windows SmartScreen prompt.
Before you start: TRESSO runs on Windows and stays running in your system tray. The scheduler only posts while TRESSO is open and your computer is awake and online — so install it on the computer you keep on during your posting window.
Install in three steps
1. Download the installer
- Go to the Download page and download tresso-setup.exe.
- Save it somewhere easy to find, like your Downloads folder.
2. Run the installer
- Double-click tresso-setup.exe to start setup.
- If Windows asks for permission to make changes, choose Yes, then follow the prompts to finish installing.
3. Get past "Windows protected your PC"
- If you see a blue Windows protected your PC SmartScreen window, click More info.
- Then click Run anyway to continue the install. This is normal for a newly published app — a verified publisher signature is being added, after which this prompt will stop appearing.
First launch
- TRESSO opens and adds an icon to your system tray (near the clock). Keep TRESSO running — closing the window to the tray is fine, but the app must stay open for scheduled posts to go out.
- Next, activate your TRESSO license with your license key.
