Help and Guidance
Reconnect Facebook and Instagram.
If a post to Instagram or Facebook fails with a connection or permission error, the fix is almost always a quick reconnect. Meta access tokens expire on a schedule, so reconnecting every so often is normal.
Requirements: Instagram posting needs an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator) that is linked to a Facebook Page. When you reconnect, approve all requested permissions — skipping any one of them is the most common reason posting still fails afterward.
Reconnect in three steps
1. Open Connections
- In TRESSO, open the Connections page. Find the Instagram or Facebook card showing a connection or permission error.
2. Click Reconnect
- Click Reconnect on the Instagram or Facebook card. A Meta login window opens.
- Sign in to the Facebook account that manages your Page and Instagram professional account.
3. Approve all permissions
- On the Meta permissions screen, leave every permission turned on and confirm. If any are toggled off, posting will fail again.
- Make sure the correct Facebook Page and linked Instagram account are selected, then finish. The card should now show Connected.

Need support from a person?
If reconnecting does not clear the error, open a ticket and include:
Open a Support Ticket
- Whether it is Instagram, Facebook, or both
- The exact error message and which step failed
- Confirmation that your Instagram is a professional account linked to a Page
