Help and Guidance

Stop your computer from sleeping.

Because TRESSO posts from your own computer, a sleeping computer means a missed post. Adjust Windows power settings so your computer stays awake during the hours you schedule posts.

Why this matters: If your computer sleeps at the time a post is due, the scheduler cannot run it. TRESSO will retry once the computer wakes — but to post on time, keep it awake during your posting window. Pair this with Scheduler requirements.
Adjust Windows power settings
Set sleep to Never (or later than your posting window)
  1. Open Settings (Windows key, then type "Settings").
  2. Go to System > Power & sleep (on some versions, System > Power & battery).
  3. Under Sleep, set "When plugged in, put my device to sleep after" to Never — or to a time later than your latest scheduled post.
  4. If you also see a screen setting, you can let the screen turn off; only sleep stops scheduled posts.
A note for laptops
  1. Laptops can still sleep on battery to save power. For reliable posting, keep your laptop plugged in and set the plugged-in sleep option to Never.
  2. Closing the lid may also trigger sleep — keep the lid open, or adjust the "when I close the lid" setting in Power options.
Need support from a person?
If posts still miss their time after changing these settings, open a ticket and include:
  • Whether it is a laptop or desktop, and on battery or plugged in
  • The sleep setting you chose
  • The scheduled time of the post that was missed
