What this does
TRESSO is a desktop app for Windows and macOS. It installs in about a minute and runs from your system tray, where it stays so scheduled posts can go out.
Updating is the same action: you run the newest installer over the version you already have. There is no uninstall step, and nothing you have set up is lost.
How to use it
- Download the installer from the Download page.
- Run it. If Windows asks for permission to make changes, choose Yes.
- If you see the blue Windows protected your PC screen, choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Let TRESSO open and add its tray icon, near the clock.
To update, download the newest installer the same way and run it over your existing install. When it finishes, quit TRESSO fully from the tray icon and open it again so the new version loads.
Good to know
Install TRESSO on the computer you keep powered on when posts are scheduled. It posts from your own machine, so that computer needs to be awake and online at posting time. Sleep and wake are handled for you.
Closing the window is fine - TRESSO keeps running in the tray. Quitting it entirely is what stops scheduled posts.
An update keeps your queue, your connected destinations, your license activation and every setting exactly as they were. You never reconnect a destination or re-enter your license key just to update.
The SmartScreen prompt appears because the app is newly published, not because anything is wrong with the download.
