Understanding Views

Where view counts come from, and why TRESSO sometimes says a number is unavailable.

What this does

When a platform reports a genuine view or play count for something you published, TRESSO shows that number alongside the posting record, per destination and in total.

How to use it

  1. Open Archive Vault and find the post you want to check.
  2. Read the view count beside each destination, and the total for the post.
  3. If a number is missing rather than zero, TRESSO states the reason in its place.

Good to know

A real zero is shown as 0. TRESSO does not hide a genuine zero, and it does not turn a missing number into one.

TRESSO will not relabel a different measurement as Views. Impressions, reach and likes are not view counts, so they are never presented as one. Where a platform does not publish a real view count for a particular kind of post, TRESSO says so rather than inventing a figure.
