Data Deletion

Last Updated: June 27, 2026  ·  Version 1.0

1. How TRESSO stores your data

TRESSO is a local-first desktop application. Your videos, captions, posting queue, and connected-account credentials are stored on your own computer, not in a TRESSO cloud. TRESSO holds only a small amount of information on its servers: your account email (in our payment processor, Stripe, and our email provider, Brevo), your license record, and - when you connect a platform that uses a server-side login broker - the access token for that connection so scheduled posts can publish.

Because most of your data lives on your machine, you can delete the majority of it yourself at any time. The steps below cover both the local data and the limited server-side records.

2. Delete a connected platform's data (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest)

To remove the access and stored token for a connected account:

  1. Open TRESSO and go to Connections.
  2. Click Disconnect on the platform you want to remove. This deletes the stored access token for that account, including any token held by the TRESSO login broker on our server.

You can also revoke TRESSO's access directly from the platform: for Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Threads), open Settings → Apps and Websites (or Business Integrations) and remove TRESSO; for Google/YouTube, open your Google Account Security → Third-party access; for Pinterest, open Settings → Apps.

3. Delete local data on your computer

To remove the data TRESSO stores locally (videos in your queue, captions, settings, and credentials):

  1. Disconnect each platform in Connections (step 2).
  2. Uninstall TRESSO from Windows Settings → Apps.
  3. Delete the TRESSO application-data folder: press Win + R, enter %APPDATA%\tresso, and delete that folder. This removes the local queue, settings, and stored credentials.

4. Delete your account and server-side records

To delete the information TRESSO holds on its servers - your license record and any broker-held connection tokens - email support@tressohq.com from your purchase email address with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

We will delete your license record and any server-held connection tokens, and remove your email from our mailing provider. We action verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when complete.

Note: if you have an active paid subscription, deleting your data also ends your ability to use TRESSO. Cancel your subscription first (or ask us to cancel it as part of the request) to stop future billing.

5. Records we may retain

Transaction and billing records held by our payment processor (Stripe) may be retained where required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other legal obligations, even after a deletion request. These records are kept by Stripe under its own retention and privacy terms and are not used to identify you for marketing.
